Katherine & David's Wedding Day @ the Yarra Valley

Well, here it is...Katherine & David's Wedding Day Highlights. I must say the wedding was stunning all the way! And as you can imagine there were endless opportunities to create some gorgeous images down at the Yarra Valley. Every aspect of the day made my heart beat faster as I clicked so many moments that were not just beautiful to shoot but the connection between the couple which was so real and tender,it added to the magic.
The Nikon D3 just amazed me especially in the late afternoon where I literally had 30minutes to photograph the couple and the bridal party as the sun descended fast! Forget low light photography this was virtually NO LIGHT photography and as you can see the high ISO capabilities of the Nikon D3 just blew me away. The results speak for themselves.

Wedding and Bride Magazine Shoot

What a way to start the day! A shoot for Wedding and Bride Magazine at a funky, kitsch roof top bar, "Madame Brussels" on Bourke street. Kate, the editor chose this Rocco, I mean Rococo-esque bar with its pastel pink walls and fake green grass, floors!
Jade from "Giant" and Alyse from "Vivienne's" modeling agency's, were so perfect for the theme and delightful to work with.
Here are a  few behind the scene grabs. Also, I chose a couple of files to be Rokified with use of my Actions Rocc. I am loving my new Nikon outfit the more I use it.  This was shot all on my Nikon D3 with the 24-70mm lens, just perfect in the  limited shooting space and superb on the close-ups as well.

Catherine & David's Chill Out Session

Here is a lovely pre wedding session I photographed recently at the historic St.Kilda pier in Melbourne, with Catherine and David.Talk about an "ice breaker" to allow the couple to experience being in front of my camera...it was a freezing day!
Despite the winter chill, Catherine and David braved the weather to allow me to capture some beautiful, warm hearted moments. Sometimes the elements may appear to be a hindrance to shoot in but I like to rise to the challenge and work with the cold and wind to my favour. It made the couple stay warmer with every embrace.
Stay tuned for higlights from their breathtaking wedding in the Yarra Valley.
